I started painting when I was 15.
I am fully qualified and hold a cscs card for painting and decorating.
I also enjoy it which in my opinion makes a huge difference.
I can paint to a very high standard as required interior and exterior.
I am also happy to do quick re-decks usually required for landlords renting etc.. I can apply wallpaper.
I can sand / stain / clear coat wooden worktops, furniture and
wooden flooring. I can weatherproof sheds, fencing, wooden gates and any exterior wood including sash windows/doors.
I am used to working in high-quality homes where protection is just as important as the work being carried out...............
(Prevention is better than cure).
I can carry out rotten wood repairs using the Ronseal woodcare system.

I Can do a variety of carpentry work.
I have invested and upgraded my tools for this type of work to achieve a better standard.
I have built a High sleeper/Floating bed which came out really well and also built a wine racking system which included remote LED lighting and both were of my own design. I also built a log store and solid wood units either side of a fireplace which also included remote downlighters incorporated within shelving made from old scaffolding boards. I also fitted a solid oak mantle piece using metal rods chemically fixed into the wood and wall. Check out my gallery to see all of my projects. I am confident to take on carpentry work but I know my limits and would never take on something I feel is too challenging. If this occurs I have a very skilled carpenter I can arrange to carry out any work required. I end up decorating afterwards so this works well. I can build shelving to suit an area, fit skirtings, carry out woodwork repairs etc. I can also fit locks to doors and windows. I can put up flat pack furniture and put together sheds including the ground levelling if required.

Household repairs of all kinds are common in busy family homes for example - loose door handles - tile re-grouting - mastic renewal to baths, sinks, showers, around worktops, flooring perimeters - Faulty locks - security items like window locks, door lock upgrades, window restrictors to allow secure ventilation - Picture hanging - bike wall mounting is becoming popular and looks great in the right place - Storage solutions - lighting / electrical faults - Remote controlled LED lighting - remote controls for electrics - computer set ups - tv / hifi set ups - power socket upgrades to newer modern types with twin USB sockets incorporated within - TV wall mounting - broken drawers - wonky chairs - old furniture repairs of various types - loose banisters - easing of windows - broken sash cord replacement - draught excluder around doors and windows - larvae and plaster wall repairs - security bolts / padlocks / hasp and staples - wifi extending where a poor signal is evident - renewal of light fittings/dimmer switches - kitchen doors/drawers adjustments/renewal of hinges, drawer runners - fitting bath/shower screens/curtains - fitting vents to doors - fitting cat/dog flaps - toilet seat replacement. Display ideas for collections (coins stamps models etc). Step tiles repaired. I have also fitted vents for bathrooms and tumble dryers which includes drilling through brickwork and making good. I have carried out soundproofing to walls and floors which included rebuilding a partition wall between two flats which included replacement of stud work, new sound block plasterboard, and installation of fireproof and sound block insulation. This upgraded the wall to the current regulations required for fire and soundproofing.
I have also converted a large loft room into two seperate
bedrooms which included a partition wall with 2 new
doors and frames, sound proofing and electrics...new sockets and lighting.
I can carry out some ladder work but am restricted to 1st floor hights due to health and safety/insurance etc.
I have a plumber i can recommend for all plumbing.
I can do basic electrical work and my son is an electrician so can pass over to him if required.
